This race is benefitting the Backpack Ministry at DeMotte Elementary Schools. The Backpack Program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not avialable, especially on weekends. Qualified elementary school students are selected by teachers and administrators and sent home every Friday with a backpack full of nutricious, kid-friendly food.
