Paducah-McCracken Co. Habitat for Humanity was Kentucky's first Affiliate, formed in 1980. We have provided home ownership opportunities for 76 low-income families in the Paducah-McCracken County area.
Habitat for Humanity is not a give away program. Houses are sold to Homeowner Partners without profit, using zero interest on 30 year mortgages. Homeowners make a small down payment and must complete 250 sweat equity hours before they can move into their homes. Sweat equity hours are usually worked on their home and other families' homes, or on another Habitat project.
