Eddie Collins was born and raised in the towns of Berlin and Clinton, attending local schools and working at various establishments.
He met and married his wife, Ellen, in Clinton and subsequently settled in Sterling. In addition to their daughter, Samantha, Eddie was father to Vanessa, Chad and Amanda, grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 4.
Following his diagnosis with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer in April 2023, his family came together to support him through his fight. Although his fight was commendable, they lost him on October 3, 2023.
They are now fighting for other families affected by this horrible disease.
