We’re proud to partner once again with The Agape Project as the official charity partner of Growler Gallop Atwater 2026.
The Agape Project brings unmistakable joy and connection to race days across Michigan. Their mission is simple and powerful: Pair volunteer runners with riders with disabilities in specially designed racing chairs so that everyone can experience the excitement, challenge, and triumph of crossing a finish line. When their teams roll onto a course, the atmosphere changes — the cheers get louder, the smiles get bigger, and the heart of our running community shines.
In 2025, The Agape Project faced a devastating setback when their trailer and racing chairs were stolen. While the chairs were eventually recovered, they were damaged and required significant repair, and the trailer was never found. Thanks to tremendous generosity from the community — including support from Trivium runners, donors, and Ainsley’s Angels — they were still able to line up at Growler Gallop with their largest chariot division ever, bringing riders and volunteers together for a powerful show of resilience.
As they rebuild in 2026, your support helps The Agape Project repair their equipment, replace their trailer, and continue opening the sport of running to athletes who might not otherwise experience it. Their presence is part of what makes Growler Gallop so special, and we’re honored to welcome them back to our start line.
