Your generosity enables the HEADstrong Foundation to provide services essential to improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer and supporting those working to eliminate the disease.
The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by my son, Nicholas “HEAD” Colleluori, while he was battling non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. During his illness, Nick recognized a need to raise cancer awareness and to openly discuss his fight with the disease. With such dignity and grace, he relentlessly battled for 14 months.
He knew the financial and emotional burden this disease placed on our family. Instead of focusing on the fact that he had cancer, he focused on how he could help others, and created HEADstrong in response to the needs he witnessed. In his words, “Make use of the time you have and don’t stress about the little things. Have a smile and enjoy what you can get out of life.” Nick was and always will be an inspiration to everyone that he touches.
The HEADstrong Foundation reminds me each day of Nick. We are sometimes undersized against our opponent, but our Relentless spirit and Nick’s vision make us massive as we take to the field.
