Donation Goal: $25,000

What does the YMCA do with their donations? First and foremost, we use our donations to help offset the cost of memberships for those who qualify for our Membership for All scholarship. MFA helps the Cortland YMCA have an open door facility, which means we don't turn anyone away with the inability to pay. Last year alone, we offered over 45 individual MFA memberships and 30 family memberships.

Additionally, our donations go towards helping to offer scholarships for our programs, such as swim lessons and gymnastics, after school care and summer camp. We helped offset the cost of summer camp for a combined total of 47 weeks last year.

Finally, our building is turning 60 this year, and it's starting to show it's age. We're hopeful to begin raising the funds to help keep our building going for 60 more years with exterior upgrades to our brick, redoing the locker rooms and replacing our outdated fitness equipment.
