Mr. Laimon W. Godel Jr. Paymaster, MCL det. 924 200 Engert Road Knoxville, TN 37922
Dear Mr. Godel Jr.,
On behalf of the Uni ted States Marine Corps, I wish to thank you and all the members of The Lieutenant Alexander Bonnyman Detachment of the Marine Corps League for this generous gift of a check in the amount of $2,673.76. Your support for our brave Marines who have so courageousl y defended this great nation is truly appreciated.
One of my greatest privileges as a Marine is to assist the Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) in its mission to help our wounded, ill and injured Marines to successfully return to duty or reintegrate into thei r communities. WWR provides wide-rangi ng services to our Marines from employment and financial counseling to recreational and athletic programs.
Your generosity helps WWR make a positive impact on the lives of our Marines. Whether wounded or suffering from illness, WWR Marines maintain the positive, can-do attitude that epitomizes everything that is great about our Marine Corps. Like many, I am at once amazed and inspired by their remarkable achievements. And I am convinced that with support such as yours, no goal is unattainable for these resilient warriors.
Again, thank you for your generous support of WWR's mission. As always, I would encourage you to visit the Regiment's website at www.wounded wan-iorregiment.org or follow the Regiment on Facebook.
Semper Fidelis,
C. L. HUDSON Major General
U.S. Marine Corps Commander
We are the official command charged by the Commandant of the Marine Corps to provide longitudinal care and support for wounded, ill, and injured Marines and their families.
The Wounded Warrior Regiment provides leadership and enables non-medical care to combat and non-combat Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) Marines, sailors attached to Marine units, and their family members in order to maximize their recovery as they return to duty or transition to civilian life.
