Family Fondo

Family Fondo – 15 miles total – This Fondo provides food, hydration, festivities, and transportation for families or people looking for a more casual ride. The two youngest riders to complete the 15 mile course last year were 8 and 9 years old and the oldest was 72 years old. The riding times were between 45 minutes and 3 hours. The Family Fondo start line is at Guy Wicks Field off of Perimeter Drive, and meets up with the Latah Trail via Paradise Path. The course then goes 13.5 miles east from Moscow to Troy via the Latah Trail. The first aid station is at the half way mark (mile 7) and is the first stop for shuttle pick up. From there, the course finishes at the Troy City Park with the Latah Trail Pancake Feed.

The Latah Trail Foundation will be offering guided tours down Bear Creek Canyon to the end of the Latah Trail to show off the newest extension.

There will be a shuttle bus between Moscow, Troy, Potlatch, and Pullman roughly every 30 minutes that transports people around the Fondo course. The shuttle stops are at Guy Wicks Field in Moscow, NRS East Parking lot in Moscow, Troy City Park in Troy, Locomotive Park in Potlatch, and the Pullman Aid Station at the Terreview street intersection. The shuttle lap takes about 1 hour.

Latah / Chipman Fondo

Latah/ Chipman Fondo – 50 miles – This NEW Fondo provides food, hydration, festivities, and transportation for the rider who wants a 50 mile ride experience without the risk of being on the road. Riders should be over the age of 10 or have previous riding experience. The riding times for this 50 miler are between 2 and 6 hours. The Latah / Chipman Fondo course starts at Guy Wicks Field on Perimeter Drive, and meets up with the Latah Trail via Paradise Path. From there, the course goes West for 3 miles where the Latah Trail changes into the Chipman Trail before continuing another 9 miles to Shuttle / Aid Station 10 (Terreview intersection 1 mile before the end of the Chipman Trail). Riders turn around at the trail head and ride back on the same trail for 25 miles to Troy. Shuttle stop / Aid Station 1 is in Moscow at Guy Wicks Field where the course started. 7 miles further down the trail is Shuttle Stop / Aid Station 2. Riders will find the next rest area 7 miles further at the Latah Trail Pancake Feed in Troy where they will turn around for the final leg of the Latah Chipman Fondo which finishes at Guy Wicks Field.

Moscow Fondo

Moscow Fondo – 100 miles – This Fondo provides food, hydration, festivities, and transportation for the rider who wants a seriously awesome 100 mile ride experience that winds through the beautiful Palouse. Riders need to be at least 15 years old or with an adult and everyone needs to have previous riding experience. The riding times for this 100 miler are between 5 and 10 hours. Riders will be pulled from the course at 4:00PM and re-positioned at the Pullman Shuttle / Aid Station 10 to finish or be taken back the the Start line / Guy Wicks parking lot. This course has over 5000 feet of climbing over 100 miles.

The Moscow Fondo starts in Moscow at Guy Wicks Field. The course then travels 13.5 miles east from Moscow to Troy via the Latah Trail / Paradise Creek Path. Shuttle / Aid station 2 is at mile 7. From Aid station 2, the course continues to the Troy City Park where the Shuttle Stop / Latah Trail Pancake Feed / Aid station 3 will be. All are invited to participate.

The course then continues out 12 miles on Hwy 8 to Aid 4 where riders turn left to take Hwy 9 toward Harvard. Riders go for 10 miles to Shuttle / Aid 5 at the Hwy 6 junction in Harvard. Turning left again, the next leg of this course follows Hwy 6 into Potlatch where it will pass through the Shuttle / Aid 6 during the Potlatch Days festival at Locomotive Park. From Aid 6, the course follows Hwy 6 / Hwy 95 10 miles to Palouse Aid 7. Riders will turn right and go up the small hill to pick up Hwy 272. From here, the course gets hilly. After 10 miles on Hwy 272 the riders will find Aid 8 just before Colfax. From Aid 8, riders will ride 2 miles to Hwy 195 in Colfax before they turn left and follow Hwy195 east 8 miles to the Albion Cutoff road. The route then goes through Albion to the Pullman / Palouse Hwy where they turn right and head south. Riders follow the Palouse / Pullman Hwy for 1 mile where they will will turn left on to Terreview. The route then goes across on Terreview to the Latah Trail Shuttle / Aid 10 station. The Last leg of the course is along the Chipman Trail to Moscow where it finishes at the Aid Station 1 / Start line / Guy Wicks Field.

There will only be a shuttle bus option on the first half of the course between Moscow, Troy, Potlatch, and Pullman. it will run roughly every 30 minutes. There will be porta potties at every shuttle stop / aid station. The shuttle stops are at Guy Wicks Field in Moscow, NRS East Parking lot in Moscow, Troy City Park in Troy, Hwy 9 junction, Hwy 6 junction, Locomotive Park in Potlatch, and the Pullman Aid Station at the Terreview street intersection. The shuttle lap takes about 1 hour.
