"4 for the 4th" Rail Trail Race, Ride & Roam

Experience running on one of the flattest sections of trail in Canaan - the Northern Rail Trail starting at Depot Park in Canaan. The surface is either dirt or crushed stone and there are no hills!

Come out to support this great community event and enjoy a walk on the Northern Rail Trail.

The “Kids Fun Run” is for kids 10 and under and takes places on the Northern Rail Trail. It will begin at the conclusion of the Bike Parade, so children are invited to participate in both events! An adult may accompany the child during the 1k run.

Take a ride on the Northern Rail Trail starting at Depot Park in Canaan and riding toward the Grafton Recreation Field in Grafton. The distance is approximately 8 miles. Participants are welcome to turn around at any point on the trail and return to Depot Park.

For children of all ages! Decorate your bike in a patriotic theme and join other children in a bike parade from Canaan Elementary School to Depot Park. The 1k Fun Run will begin after the bike parade, so children are welcome to participate in both events.
