Description
Our 10th annual 5k walk/run will begin at a beautiful park in Homestead. This certified course will start inside the park, continue to view parts of the city, and end at the top of the soccer field. This event will provide Chip bib automatic timing as well. Our goal is to support patients, caregivers, and individuals with friends and/or loved ones affected by this disease. Sickle Cell Anemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects many nationalities, including African Americans, Hispanics, and anyone with ancestors from the Mediterranean, Central America, India, Italy, Greece, and the Caribbean. Participants advocate and take action for the needs of individuals throughout the Sickle Cell community. Let's stand together to support the disparities within the community. Our efforts help generate funds that continue research and provide access to critical support and services.
