Team Hammerheads Shark Valley Ride

A 14 (maybe 15) mile social bike ride on a paved path within Everglades National Park - Shark Valley - organized by Team Hammerheads. This is not a timed event just a social ride.  This is an established bike path and there is even a bike rental concession area.

Bring your training partner, bring a friend, bring a family member or bring a neighbor, you don’t have to be a Team Hammerheads member to join us. If you are interested in checking out Team Hammerheads this is a fun time to do that.  If you have never been to Shark Valley it is a wonderful location in Miami to enjoy.

Gates open at the park (Everglades National Park-Shark Valley Visitors Center) at 8:30am. You may want to carpool as admission is $25 a car or $8 a cyclist/hiker should you choose to park outside. If you are an annual National Park Passholder this may cover your parking. The park does fill up this time of year and there is frequently a line to get in before it opens.

The park is open to the public and while we put this together as a group event we are really just going together to the park. We follow all the rules of the park including stopping for the Tram when it goes by and being nice to all the other park visitors on bikes and on foot. We gather in the parking lot before and after the event. We also stop half-way and go up the observation tower and take photos.
