Who's Your Daddy 10k & 4k Popcorn Run

Come and join us for this Inaugural Father's Day weekend event on Saturday June 14th, 2025 in the Oakleaf area of Jacksonville located at the Oakleaf Community Park at 3979 Plantation Oaks Blvd  for a 10k competitive run and 4k race (where the participants have to eat a cup of popcorn) at the start and 1/2 way point. The course is a 1.2 mile flat and fast loop course on a hybrid terrain of asphalt, compact sand, and a mix of grass and a short distance on a pine straw covered trail with the course being 75% shaded by trees to keep you cool. Sombrero Running Events will be the host of this Father's Day weekend event and is known to "think outside the box" when it comes to race day awards and other quirky and fun giveaways and will have custom medals for everyone and some awesome race shirts as well! We will be giving out Age Group Awards for the top 2 finishers in 10 year age increments and will have top 3 overall in male/female divisions and  1st Overall Awards for master's and grand master's for the 10k race! This is a low key and fun event to honor all dad's out there. A portion of the proceeds will go back to Clay County Parks and Recreation to put up signs for this trail and to signify areas of significant plants / species along the trail.  

We will also giveaway at least 2 Jacksonville Sharks Arena Football tickets valued at $75 for the following weekend at Vystar Arena in downtown jax. These seats are in the club section and at the 5 yard line and are aisle seats. These seats are available to a lucky dad that we will randomly choose on race day!
