Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail

Indian River County First Responders are excited to present the Inaugural SEBASTIAN SCREAM 5K & HAUNTED RAIL TRAIL. 

Why it Matters: First Responders face intense challenges on the job every day. Proceeds from this event will directly support counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for our local Police, Sheriff, Fire and EMS personnel. 

Race Information:

• Each race participant will receive a Sebastian 5K & Haunted Rail Trail T-shirt while supplies last. Register by October 6th for a guaranteed shirt. 
• Each race participant will receive (1) ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail (Haunted Trail may be too intense for young children)
• Award for best costume
• Join us after the race at the North County Aquatic Center where the Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department hosts Trunk-or-Treat and opens the pool to swim while "Goonies" plays on the big screen.

Friday, October 24, 2025

10:00 AM - 5:00PM: Early Packet Pick Up & Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach)

Saturday, October 25, 2025

10:00 AM -1:00PM: Packet Pick Up & Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach)

3:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Packet Pick Up & Registration at North County Aquatic Center (9450 County Rd. 512)

5:00 PM: 5K Race Start (Race proceeds west from the North County Aquatic Center to I-95 and returns to the North County Aquatic Center)

6:00 PM: Awards 

6:30 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Opens. Haunted Rail Trail begins at North County Aquatic Center and travels east 3/4 miles. Transportation will be provided back to the North County Aquatic Center.

10:30 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Ends
