Sopchoppy Worm Grunting Festival Wiggle Worm Fun Run

Come join us on Saturday, April 12, 2025 for the Sopchoppy Worm Grunting Festival Wiggle Worm Fun Run!  This family-friendly event, which officially kicks off the 23rd Annual Sopchoppy Worm Grunting Festival, is a 1.4 mile Fun Run that meanders through historic downtown Sopchoppy, Florida.  Walkers and runners are both welcome!

Early registration (on or before March 20) is $20 and includes a race T-shirt.  Late registration is $25 and includes a race T-shirt (if available).  Children 12 and under are $15 for both early and late registration, but a T-shirt is only guaranteed for early registrants.  (Note:  our smallest T-shirt size is adult XSmall.)  There is also a $10 no T-shirt option that will be available day of race.  Awards will be given to the first three men and the first three women to cross the finish line, and to the first three boys aged 12 and under, and the first three girls aged 12 and under to cross the finish line.  All registrants will receive a fuzzy worm necklace and a hand-painted 2025 Worm Gruntin' Festival rock!

Day of race registration will begin at 7am, and the Fun Run will begin at 8am.  Participants can come dressed in your best “worm” attire, or normal race wear.  The race will start at the intersection of Rose Street and Orange Street, and will end at the intersection of Rose Street and Summer Street.  We hope to see you there!
