🏃 Stay Safe on the Course
- Please follow the directions of event volunteers and stay on the designated course.
- Walkers and runners are welcome! If you need to slow down or stop, please move to the side of the course so others can safely pass.
- Be courteous to other participants and give plenty of space when passing.
- Please be aware of your surroundings, especially near the start and finish areas.
👟 Strollers & Young Children
Strollers are welcome! For everyone's safety, please start toward the back of the group and use extra caution in crowded areas. Children should remain with a responsible adult throughout the event.
🐕 Dogs & Pets
For the safety and comfort of all participants, dogs and other pets are not permitted on the race/walk course or other areas where the event is taking place.
Service animals are welcome as required by law.
🎧 Headphones
Headphones are permitted, but we strongly encourage participants to keep the volume low enough to hear volunteers, other participants, and surrounding traffic.
🚲 Bicycles & Other Wheeled Devices
For everyone's safety, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and similar wheeled devices are not permitted on the 5k participant course unless specifically authorized by event organizers. Children under 12 yrs may ride unmotorized bikes or scooters on the 1-mile kid's race course.
🌤️ Weather
This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water as needed. Participants should use good judgment regarding heat, cold, rain, or other weather conditions.
Event organizers will monitor weather conditions and may modify, delay, or cancel the event if severe weather or other conditions create an unsafe environment. Any significant changes will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.
❤️ First Aid & Medical Emergencies
A first aid station will be located at the park bowery and will be available to assist with minor medical needs during the event.
If you or another participant experiences a serious or life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 immediately and alert the nearest event volunteer. Volunteers can help direct emergency responders to your location.
There will be volunteers located along the designated course routes. Please do not hesitate to ask for help if you are feeling unwell or injured.
🚨 Emergency & Safety
Please follow the instructions of event staff, volunteers, and emergency personnel. Event organizers reserve the right to stop or remove a participant from the course if their participation creates a safety concern for themselves or others.
