Description

Georgia Bikes is excited to celebrate the Bike-Walk-Live Summit's return to in-person programming! Join us on Saturday, November 18th for a variety of mobile workshops that will celebrate the best riding, walking, and rolling that the Athens area has to offer. We'll have informative workshops, exciting walks, and fun rides that highlight everything that makes our state bikeable, walkable, and, best of all, liveable!

Join Specialized Bicycle Ambassador Lisa Baynes on her third annual jaunt through the Oconee National Forest from Temple. You will need a gravel, CX or mountain bike for this ride.  A tire width of 32mm plus would be best. One water crossing.  Georgia Cycle Sport will be on site for last minute mechanic support.

MORE ABOUT THE RIDE:

Start Time:  10AM

This route starts at the lovely Temple Church and heads almost immediately out on beautiful gravel roads through rolling pastureland, mature hardwood, pine stands, and through historic communities. One water crossing at an old historic mill site that is worth a quick stop to view from the road.
