Dogwood Dash 2023

5k run in Lavonia, GA starting and finishing at the historical Train Depot. 1 mile run or walk will take place after the 5k start. All participants receive a wooden medallion and triple blend soft T-shirt. The race is flat, out and back and passes historic Knox-Tribble house, Carnegie Library, Train Depot, and more. Water station at 1/2 way turnaround. Water, fruit and other food will be available.  DJ Mike will be performing. Prizes are only given for 5k in person runners and will be a prize for overall male and female finishers - a gift certificate and design painted gourd. In addition gift certificates will be given to in person 5k runners male and female in the following catagories: under 20, 20-29, 30-39,40-49,50-59,60-69,70 and over.  Packet pickup is 6-7:30pm Friday, May12th and 7:30 - 8:00 race morning. Proceeds will revive the Lavonia Lions Club allowing the Club to support Scouts, education, glasses for those that can’t otherwise afford them, and more.  5k results will be posted on Facebook page Lavonia GA Lions Club
