Description

Please make plans to join us for this very special event…the Inaugural running of the One Kid! One Kidney! 5K and 1M Fun Run - April 27th – 9:00 AM 5K Run/Walk Start time to benefit Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Gabrielle Culberson:The race is being held in honor of Gabrielle Culberson, a Darlington School Student and Cartersville area teen who is in need of a lifesaving kidney transplant. Race proceeds from the One Kid! One Kidney! 5K & 1M Fun Run will benefit Children’s Organ Transplant Association who assist families with a transplant related expenses. 

The race route will be utilizing a portion of the beautiful campus of The Darlington School in Rome, GA.   This is a rolling and scenic trail route that we know you will love!  Please see the Race Route Map Below for a more detailed overview of the course and the Finish Line is located on the Track in the Stadium which is super cool!  

Registration Information:
*$30 Pre-Race Registration (through April 21st.) 
*$35 Race Day Registration Fee 
Register early to guarantee lower rates and your T-shirt size! 

Pre-Registration Packet Pick up:  Packet Pick-up will be held Friday, April 26th. From 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at GoGo Running in Rome. Located 1018 Martha Berry Blvd NE, Rome, GA 30165

5K Start-Finish & Race Day Parking:  There is PLENTY of parking in/around the front entrance of the Darlington School located at 1014 Cave Spring Rd., Rome, GA 30161 with the Starting line located on the grass practice field adjacent to (just east of) the football stadium and the Finish Line is located in the stadium on the Track!  There will be plenty of signs and volunteers directing you to the registration/start/finish line areas that morning, so don't worry....you won't get lost from the parking lot! 

Race Day Schedule of Events:
*7:45 AM Race Day Registration / Packet Pick-up Opens 
*8:45 AM Race Day Registration Closes
*8:55 AM Pre-Race Announcements
*9:00 AM 5K Start
*10:15 AM Awards Presentation Please plan to "hang around" afterwards for age group awards presentations!  

5K Awards:
Awards will be given to the following: 
*Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female Winners
*Top Master’s Male and Top Master’s Female Winners
*Top 3 Male & Female in the following Age Categories: 10-Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over

*Please note: There are no awards for the 1M - It's just for Fun, Health, and in support of a great cause!
