18th Annual Bird Dog Breakaway
Welcome to the 18th Annual Bird Dog Breakaway! We’re thrilled to have you here to “Run the Race” with us. This year’s event features a 5K run, a 2-mile walk, and several children’s runs—including an Adaptive Run/Walk for our amazing CFNB kids. The Kid Zone and vendor area are back, making it a fun-filled morning for participants of all ages!
All proceeds from the Bird Dog Breakaway support the Center for New Beginnings, which serves over 100 children and families across our three locations. We provide therapy and support to children with a range of developmental and behavioral needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and more. This year, we're aiming to raise $20,000 for CFNB's 20th anniversary. Funds will benefit critical building needs at our Millen Clinic to help us continue providing high-quality care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Free parking is available at the Wimberly House and the lot behind KJ's.

On race day, we can accept cash, checks, cards(chip and tap pay), Venmo and Paypal
The closest ATMs are located at the following:
- Walgreens (400 S Liberty St)
- First National Bank (308 S Liberty St & 626 N Liberty St).
There are no ATMs on site in Waynesboro City Park.
