Team/Club Discounts
The Going The Distance 5K at UIUC is providing discounts for clubs and teams who wish to sign up. Any team with >10 participants will receive individual refunds of $2, making the runner race signup fee only $13. This applies to the first 10 participants to register for said team. Any team with >20 participants will receive individual refunds of $5, making the runner race signup fee only $10. This applies for the first 20 participants registered under that team.
In other terms:
For teams over 10 participants: after runner #11 registers, runners 1-10 receive the refund.
For teams over 20 participants: after runner #21 registers, runners 1-20 receive a refund down to $10.
General Information
This event is a charity community run with all proceeds going towards the Salvation Army. If you are unable to attend the run but would still like the help the cause, there is an option to just donate as well. While this event began in Morton, IL, we have brought a counterpart to the University of Illinois. This event is being run by Going The Distance in conjunction with the Salvation Army in Champaign to put on the best race possible!
This year, the run will take place on November 8th at 9:00am. Please show up by 8:50am to check in at the check in table on the east side of the Main Quad by Foellinger Auditorium. The start and finish lines are between the Foreign Languages Building and Foelinger Auditorium. You can view a course map below with mile and kilometer markers as well as a view of where to park. Restrooms are available inside of the Foreign Languages Building or anywhere else accessible on the quad.
