Overview

Hope in Every Step is a virtual run/walk event taking place from August 23 to September 6 to raise awareness for those impacted by Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) and support the mission of the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Association (RPLA). Participants choose a distance to run, walk, or move in any way that feels meaningful to them—wherever they are in the world.

Who can participate?

Anyone! This event is open to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. You can participate solo or with a group, in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, at a park—anywhere that works for you.

How it does a virtual run work?

You choose your own route, distance, and pace and complete your race anytime between August 23 and September 6. Afterward, log your results and share your experience. Here's how it works:

  1. Register for the event using the "Sign Up" button on the top of the page
  2. Print out your digital bib from your Runsignup profile page (only if you want to)
  3. Complete your run/walk anywhere you choose (including a treadmill) anytime between August 23 and September 6
  4. Submit your time to log your results
  5. Share your experience on social media to help amplify the message (#RunForRPLAwareness)

How do I register?

Sign up using the "Sign Up" button at the top of the page and select which distance you'd like to complete (1 mile, 5K or 10K). Registration includes access to our event platform, a digital bib, and other downloadable materials to help you show your support.

Where do I run?

You can run/walk at a course of your choosing, including on a treadmill. 

Where do I print my bib?

To locate your bib, search your name in the "Find a Participant" page of the event site (under "More").  Click the hyperlinked number next to your name to download and print your bib. 

When do I run?

You can run/walk anytime on August 23 - September 6, 2025.

Will this race be timed?

The virtual run will not be officially timed, but there will be an online leaderboard showing the times of everyone who logged their results.

How do I post my results?

Visit the "Results" page of the event website and click the "Submit Virtual Results" link at the top of the page.

Why is there a fee to register?

The $25 registration fee helps support the work of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Association (RPLA), the nonprofit organization that is hosting the event. You will be given the opportunity to add a donation during the registration process. Proceeds go directly to supporting RPLA’s research and support programs.

Where does the money go?

All funds raised will support the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Association (RPLA) in its efforts to:
 - Fund critical research into the causes and treatments of recurrent pregnancy loss
 - Provide support and educational resources to impacted individuals and families
 - Increase awareness of the widespread and often misunderstood impact of miscarriage and infertility

Can I create a team or fundraise?

Yes! We encourage group to sign up and fundraise together in honor of loved ones or to support RPLA’s mission. You can start or join a group during registration or by following this link: Start or Join a Group

Will there be event merchandise?

Yes. After registration you can choose to purchase race t-shirts or other merchandise.  All items it will be mailed to you directly from the online vendor, Print My Cause. Items will not be available for purchase until August 1st when the sponsorship window has closed.  But you can view the designs now. 

How can I spread the word?

Help us raise awareness by:

  • Posting on social media with the hashtag #RunForRPLAwareness
  • Sharing your story or who you're running for
  • Encouraging friends, family, and coworkers to participate or donate
