WALK FOR TALK: AN EVENT FOR EVERYONE
Get ready for the 6th Annual Walk for Talk! This event unites people around the world to raise awareness, fund research, and support those living with voice disorders. It’s more than just a walk—it’s a movement where every step makes a difference.
Walk for Talk is for people living with voice disorders, whose courage and experiences inspire us all. It is for families who come together to support their loved ones, and for friends who walk side by side to show they care. It is for healthcare professionals who go beyond the clinic to champion awareness, and for researchers whose discoveries bring hope for better treatments and a cure. It is also for SLP students, the future leaders in voice care—and yes, even pets can join in as four-legged ambassadors of awareness.
And most importantly—Walk for Talk is for YOU. Every step you take, whether on your own, with loved ones, or with your community, helps bring us closer to answers, better treatments, and a cure.
All are welcome, and there is no cost to participate. No matter your age, location, or connection to Dysphonia International, we are working together for a world without communication challenges caused by voice disorders. You decide how to participate—walk, run, bike, or choose another activity that inspires you. The focus weekend is October 16–19, but events take place throughout the month.
Every dollar makes a difference. With a fundraising goal of $100,000—and all donations matched—your impact is doubled, helping us fund vital research and programs. So whether you join with family, colleagues, or furry companions, you can use your steps to help us beat spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions, including vocal tremor, vocal cord paralysis/paresis, and muscle tension dysphonia.
