Description

ALL 2020 EVENTS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED TO NEXT YEAR - 2021. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

FAMILY FUN EVENTS

The public is invited to bring their family to the Jaycee Park in Jasper and enjoy some family fun events while the Strassenfest Bike Ride is taking place.
From 8:30 am to 11 am, children aged 6 years old and younger can try out the Balance Bike Course! Much better than training wheels, balance bikes allow the riders to really understand the balance involved in riding a bike and can allow kids to learn extremely young! Ride the course and then sign up for a chance to win their very own balance bike!

Also, enjoy corn hole and carnival games! WE ASK THAT ALL PATRONS KEEP THEIR SOCIAL DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 6 FEET FROM OTHERS.

SPIRIT OF STRASSENFEST BIKE RIDE

Celebrate 2020 with a bicycling odyssey across the rolling hills of Dubois County. The 30th annual Strassenfest Bicycle Ride offers three routes of approx. (20, 50, and 65 mi) to challenge riders of all experience levels.

Each route treats riders to scenic rolling countryside. The longer routes include some of southern Indiana’s most challenging hills. 2019/2020 Routes can be downloaded via Dropbox here: http://bit.ly/2JzrDy8

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Ride rain or shine. No refunds. Advance registration is REQUIRED. The registration fee includes well-marked routes, SAG service, food and drink stops. Parking is available right near the start!

RIDER SUPPORT
SAG support will cover all routes.  They will have minimal tools to assist in minor bicycle repairs only. All riders should be prepared to make their own repairs. SAG support will be off the road by 1:00 p.m.  Riders will be on their own after that, or if they leave the route.

FOOD THIS YEAR!
The Army National Guard will be sponsoring.

SAFETY - KEEP YOUR SOCIAL DISTANCE (6 ft or more) from all other individuals. Helmets are required. An adult must accompany all cyclists under the age of 16. Riders must obey all Indiana traffic laws.

NOTICE - this is a RIDE not a RACE. Through this sign up platform "race" is automatically applied throughout the sections. This is not our doing, and we want everyone to know that this is a ride.
