The Independence Day 4-Miler begins at 8:00AM. 

The start line is on the Ma and Pa Trail at the Williams Street trailhead.

There are porta-potties at the start/finish area in the Williams Street parking lot.

Additionally, there are porta-potties near the turnaround point at the Tollgate Road trailhead.

There is no bag check for this race. Parking is located close to the start, finish, and post-race areas, so you can leave items in your car and access them easily before and after your race.

Parking is available at the Lower Liriodendron/Ma & Pa Overflow Lot (125 West Broadway), as well as on surrounding streets.

There is no race parking at the Williams Street Ma & Pa lot, or in the adjacent condo complex.

Please observe any "No Parking" signs and be considerate of our neighbors!

We highly recommend attending the pre-race day packet pickup to avoid lines on race morning.

Yes, someone can pick up your packet for you. They will just need your Registration QR code that you can find either in your registration confirmation email or pre-race email.
How to resend your race confirmation email

All registrations are online and available until the race starts or it is sold out.

All runners receive an ASICS technical race tank-top, and a souvenir pint glass at packet pickup.

You can change your shirt size up until you pick up your race materials (subject to size availability)

Steps to Change your shirt size:

You can transfer your registration to another registrant up until 11:59PM on 7/4.

There is no fee to do so.

Race registration fees (and the processing charge from RunSignup) are not refundable. These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

There is one water station on the course that runners pass twice - just before and again just after the turnaround at the Tollgate Road trailhead.

Although we love dogs, they are not allowed on the race course.

Strollers and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the Independence Day 4-Miler course as parts of the route are very narrow.

Headphones or earbuds are allowed but we ask that you either use open ear headphones (like Shokz which you can purchase at Charm City Run :)). If you use other headphones, please keep the volume low so you can hear all course directions from course marshals.

The course is measured for a 4 miler using the shortest possible path. Your watch may show a slightly longer distance as you weave around other runners, moving to stop at a water station, or take a longer curve around a turn.

The race starts and finishes at the same location - near the Williams Street trailhead of the Ma and Pa Trail.

The post-race party is located at Independent Brewing Company, right across the street from the finish line!

The post-race party includes the following:

• First beer FREE with race registration (for ages 21+. Non-alcoholic options are available)

• Hot breakfast

• Shopping with Charm City Mobile

Yes, your cheering section is welcome to join you at the post-race party.

Breakfast and the free beverage are for runners only, but Independent Brewing Company will have beer available for purchase.

If you signed up for text message notifications, they will be sent to you soon after you cross the halfway split and finish line.

Yes, spectators can track you using the RaceJoy tracking app. They can send you cheers and you will get alerts as you hit mile marks. Download the RaceJoy app

They can also sign up to receive text or email alerts when you cross the start and finish mats. You do not need to carry your phone. Sign up for text or email alerts.
