Event Description

Join VQ Labs and Freewheelin' Community Bikes for a day of cycling, community, and impact. Freewheelin’ Community Bikes is an Indianapolis nonprofit that uses bicycles to empower youth through leadership development, life skills, mentorship, and accessible transportation. Their mission is simple but powerful: provide accessible bikes and help young people build healthier, brighter futures—one bike, one youth, one relationship at a time.

Every mile you ride helps fuel programs that give local youth the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Whether you're a serious cyclist, casual rider, or looking for a fun family outing, there's a route for everyone. Ride with purpose, connect with your community, and help create lasting change—one mile at a time.

Registration fee includes post-race refreshments with a drink ticket for Bier Brewery beer and Bazbeaux pizza

Why We Ride

ONE BIKE. ONE YOUTH. ONE RELATIONSHIP AT A TIME.

Freewheelin' Community Bikes connects Indianapolis youth with skills for life over a shared passion for the bicycle--teaching the life and leadership skills that improve their physical and mental well-being.

Every entry and every donated dollar from the Carmel Classic 100 goes to work transforming the city into a place where bikes provide access to better lives.

You ride. A kid earns a future.

Register today, bring your crew, and turn 100 kilometers into a better future for Indianapolis youth. Here's what we're supporting:

Green Apron — Earn-a-Bike

A young person's first step into Freewheelin': bicycle maintenance, riding safety, and a culture of growth. They leave with a bike they built and earned.

Y.E.E.T. Paid Jobs

Youth Education & Employment Training puts teens ages 14–18 to work in the shop — a real paycheck, real responsibility, and real mentorship.

Bike Lab & Mechanics

Where learners keep going: advanced mechanics, mentoring younger riders, and building the confidence that carries far beyond the shop
