Positioned at strategic points along the route (such as intersections, blind turns, and hazard zones), the marshal protects participants from vehicular traffic, provides clear and rapid navigation to cyclists traveling at high speeds, and acts as the immediate communication link for mechanical or medical emergencies.

Volunteers will be managing the rest stations that keep riders fueled, hydrated, and motivated. Positioned at designated intervals along the route, SAG volunteers provide hospitality, offering nutrition, basic self-serve mechanical tools, minor first aid, and enthusiastic morale boosts to ensure participants can safely and successfully complete the ride.

The Set Up Team is responsible for transforming at the start/end venue into a fully functional, safe, and exciting event space before the first cyclist arrives. Working primarily in the hours leading up to the start of the ride, this role handles the physical infrastructure—including boundary marking, equipment layout, table/station set up, and signage installation—that ensures a seamless flow for registration, parking, and the start/finish lines.

This volunteer is responsible for the timely, organized, and efficient dismantling of the event infrastructure once the festivities draw to a close. This crew works behind the scenes to ensure all equipment is packed safely, assets are accounted for, and the venue is returned to its original condition.
