Run or Bike for Coffee! Sponsored by the Second Wind Foundation

Our plans were to host a race on May 2nd, but because of COVID-19, we are moving it to a virtual race instead.  The benefits for you remain the same!  You can complete any of the distances on your own at your own pace at your own location during any type of weather!  Let us know what your time is and we'll send you a sweet reward!  A 1/2 pound of coffee, medal, or both!   Our coffee is sourced from a family farm in Santa Barbara, Honduras, who have been in business since 1794.

In addition, we want to do a small part to help local businesses make it through these difficult times.  We will draw the names of three random participants who will receive a gift card to a local business!  

The benefits for us is we will use 100% of these funds to raise money for the coffee and artisan shop we opened in Tegucigalpa.  Our shop allows us to provide job skills for Hondurans who are out of work.  They learn business, accounting, inventory, barista, and customer service skills, which can be transferred to long-term jobs.  Our artisans are allowed to sell their works of art in our shop while donating a certain amount of their profits that go towards the rent of the shop to make it self-sustaining.  As a foundation, we strongly believe that providing our families with job skills allows them to feed their families and stay in Honduras among their friends and a culture they love.
