Description

Come join us as we celebrate the birth and birthplace of President Abraham Lincoln!

The Lincoln Days Railsplitter 5K, 10K, and Kid's Run take place on Saturday, October 4th at 8:15 am during the 54th Annual Lincoln Days Celebration in downtown Hodgenville, Kentucky. You are sure to find this run-through of historic Hodgenville challenging and fun, and there is a good chance Lincoln will join us that morning…..HONEST!

This is an open road race with a heavy volunteer presence.  All races are cupless.  There will be a water refill station for 10K runners.  5K runners are expected to carry water if they feel it is needed. No Pets are allowed on the course or in the festival area.

The 5K is an out-and-back from downtown Hodgenville and will start at 8:15 am.

The 10K will be a special treat as it will leave downtown Hodgenville and make a loop through the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, running past the Lincoln Memorial…be sure to pose for a photo with the memorial in the background!  The “Lincoln to Lincoln” 10K will start at 8:15 am.  (*note - 10K runners will need to be at the Lincoln Birthplace turnaround by 9:15 am)

The Kid's Dash will start at 8:30 am.

Runners will receive a special Honest Abe finisher's medal and a bonus race t-shirt (runners must register by September 29, 2025 to be guaranteed a shirt). No awards for age group winners.

Awards will be given to the Top Two overall male & female finishers in the 5K and 10K races.  In addition, a special handcrafted award will be given to the overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K races.  An awards ceremony will be held on Lincoln Day’s Main Stage with a photo opportunity at the famous Lincoln Statue.

Post-race entertainment will be provided in downtown Hodgenville, with live music and food and drink options. Please consider staying for a fun post-race environment.

Packet pickup will be held at the race start race afternoon beginning at 7:15 am.
