Description

The PNC Kentucky Derby Festival Tour de Lou has become one of the Festival’s signature events every spring. 2023 marks the TENTH year for the event & the Kentucky Derby Festival is again gearing up to ride

The Festival is again partnering with the Louisville Bicycle Club to produce this premier ride, which features distance options for all experience levels.
The in-person ride ( 20, 35 & 62.1 Miles) will be an open course through some of Louisville's wonderful parks and neighborhoods. The Family ride will be a closed course scavenger hunt ride through Waterfront Park. The virtual option is perfect for those who are out of town or prefer to ride solo on your own time and your own course. We are excited to continue to enhance the course in its 10th year and expand the opportunities for all ages to participate in this scenic ride.

Distance options include:

  • The Tour de Lou Family Ride - Closed Course Scavenger Hunt Ride through Waterfront Park
  • 20 miles - Great for Families & Beginner or New Riders (Open course, no streets closed.)
  • 35 miles - Great for Moderate/Experienced Riders (Open course, no streets closed.)
  • 62.1 miles - Great for Advanced Riders or those looking for a challenge (Open course, no streets closed.)

Whether you choose in-person or virtual, we can't wait to ride with you in 2023!

All Derby Festival events and programs adhere to local, state, and federal COVID-19 guidelines. The Festival continues to closely monitor developments with COVID-19 and updates policies and procedures as the guidance evolves. More specific guidelines for ride participants will be shared in the months and weeks leading up to the event.
