Join us in making a lasting impact by participating in Squeeze the Day 5K, a fun-filled event benefiting the Methodist Children's Home of Southwest Louisiana! Your support will help provide essential care, education, and love to children in need. At the Methodist Children's Home, we provide comprehensive, intensive residential services to children ages 12-17 with emotional and behavioral needs. Just as we turn lemons into lemonade, we believe that faith and community can transform challenges into hope and healing.
Every day, we see children bravely embrace opportunities as we guide them towards a brighter future filled with God's love. Your partnership helps Louisiana's children Squeeze the Day! Lace-up your running shoes, and join us in the running toward a brighter future.
Route Description:
The course is flat. Route begins and ends at Pinederosa Park and runs along the scenic golf course

7:00AM- Packet pickup and race day registration opens
7:45 AM- Packet pickup and race day registration closes
7:45 AM- Announcements & Pre-race meeting
8:00 AM- 5K Run/Walk & 1-mile Run/Walk begin
8:45 AM- Food and beverages available
9:30 AM- Awards

Bring the ZEST to race day — and do it in style!
Snag one of our custom Squeeze the Day shirts by registering to run. A shirt is included with your 5K or 1-mile Fun Run race registration.
Don’t wait to sign up! Shirts are guaranteed to participants registered prior to August 13 at 11:59 PM.
Shirts may be purchased without registration for $20.
Awards
Top male and top female 5k winners will be awarded a $150 gift card to House of Sole. Thank you to House of Sole for generously providing the gift cards for the overall winners! We are grateful for your support.
Age group awards for the 5k: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in 10-year age groups for males and females as follows: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
All age-group award recipients will receive a special handmade commemorative lemon dish created by children in care at Methodist Children’s Home. Thank you to The Art Factory for making this opportunity possible for the children in our care!
