Charlton Park Dryland Battle Sled Dog Race

Great Lakes Sled Dog Association (GLSDA) is proud to present a new dryland race event!  This race will be held at the Historic Charlton Park in Hastings, MI.  The trails located there are a beautiful mix of grassy and gravel terrain through the woods and fields of the park. We are excited to be able to offer this.  

All classes will be on a two mile trail and a TBD mileage shorter trail will be offered for Juniors canicross and Fun Run classes.  Hope you are all able to join us!

The following classes will run the 2.0 mile trail.  These classes are ISDRA Sanctioned:

6 Dog Rig

4 Dog Rig

2 Dog Scooter

2 Dog Bikejor

1 Dog Scooter

1 Dog Bikejor

Men’s and Women’s Canicross

JR 3 Dog Rig

JR 2 Dog Wheeled (Scooter/Bikejor)

These classes will run a shorter TBD mileage:

JR Canicross (ISDRA Sanctioned)

Fun Run (Saturday Only)

NOTE:  If you are entering one of the Fun Run classes and NO other classes, then you can purchase a Fun Run GLSDA Membership for $5 along with your entry.

Entries close on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 8:00 PM EDT.  No late entries or changes are permitted after the entries close.

Rules and Required Equipment

*No Whips
*No Wrist Ropes and/or Driver Restraints Allowed
*Helmets required in all Wheeled Classes and eye protection strongly recommended
*Snub Line required on 6 & 4 Dog Rigs while on trail (ISDRA)
*ISDRA Rules Apply

GLSDA Membership

GLSDA Membership is required to race and you will not be permitted to race until your membership has been paid
