New Date: October 25th, 9AM
Hello fellow Watermelon Runners,
It’s been a little while since our last update and for good reason. Thanks to your incredible support, our event has gone viral! The original video has been viewed over 250,000 times, bringing in 550+ registered runners, 60+ vendor applications, and strong sponsor interest in just a few weeks. We always knew this event would bring people together, but the response has exceeded even our highest expectations.
With many of you traveling from far towns or even out of state, we want to provide the best experience possible at the Watermelon Run. After discussions and a strong recommendation from the City and local partners, we have decided to move the event to Saturday, October 25th at 9AM.
All tickets will automatically transfer to the new date. We understand that some of you may have already made plans for October 4th. If you are unable to attend on October 25th, you will have the option to request a refund on the registration site.
This change gives us the opportunity to make the event bigger and better for you, and most importantly, for the scholars this run supports. We thank you for your understanding and ask you to help us spread the news when we release the announcement video in the coming days.
We cannot wait to see you on October 25th at 9AM. More details are on the way soon!

The Seeds of a Watermelon Scholarship Fund is dedicated to empowering displaced and disadvantaged Gazan students to achieve their academic dreams and build brighter futures. By providing holistic financial support—including tuition, living expenses, and resources for personal and professional growth. With zero administrative costs (except transfer fees), every contribution directly transforms lives, fostering a generation of empowered leaders who will inspire and uplift their communities.
