Course

Both the 25k and 50k start at the Morrow pavilion. Participants will run from the pavilion out the entrance of the park and cross over Green Lane Road. Proceed up the sledding hill to hop on the Blue Trail through the equestrian camping area. Cross Hill Road and follow the Blue Trail beyond the entrance to the boat launch area. You will not run through the boat launch parking lot—stay on the trail. The Blue Trail then proceeds around the perimeter of the reservoir, where you will meet a few minor stream crossings. These are typically not shoe-soaking streams. The Blue Trail meets the Red Trail at the Knight Road bridge, a ½ mile paved section. Continue on the Red Trail for a bit more than a mile, until you merge with the Honeysuckle Trail. Rejoin the Red Trail to cross over Knight Road.

Continue to follow the marked course into the woods on the mountain biking trails. Twist and turn your way through these beautiful single-track trails until meeting the Red Trail and cross

back over Knight Rd at the Horse Trailer Parking Lot. Run up the gravel hill and continue on the Red Trail.. Once over the wooden foot bridge, bear right at the fork follow the Hemlock Trail, continuing through the woods. Do not hop on Green Lane Connector Trail. As you exit the woods and complete the Hemlock Trail.  Take a right to head down the Damn Hill onto the Perk Trail. Follow this paved section all the way down the hill. Turn right to run over the bridge and continue on the Perk Trail. Stay on this flat gravel section for a bit more than a mile, crossing over the park entrance road, and continuing on the paved section.

You will turn left to cross over a small bridge, cross over Deep Creek Road, then take the next left to join the Orange Trail. Pay attention to the markings on orange as the trail splits a few times.  Follow the markings across Deep Creek Rd back on to the trail, around the campground. Cross the parking lot in front of the office and follow the trail to the closed road leading to the dam. Run down the hill, turn left around to the switchback, and cross over the dam of Deep Creek Lake. Once over the Dam, follow the trail around the lake to the back of the pavilion.
