Tour de Houston

Tour de Houston offers Houstonians and visitors a unique way to view the city with bike routes winding through Houston’s historic neighborhoods, scenic districts, and parks. This annual bike ride celebrates the beauty, history, diversity and vibrancy of Houston’s neighborhoods and raises funds to plant new trees in Houston’s parks. 

Tour de Houston offers riders three distance options, all starting at Avenida Plaza in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center at 8:00 AM and concluding with a post-ride festival in Discovery Green.

• The 10-mile Family Route, perfectly suited for riders of all ages and ability levels, will ride to Hermann Park and back. 
• The 20-mile Intermediate Route, created for experienced riders and fitness enthusiasts, follows the 10-mile route through Hermann Park and then continues through the Medical Center and travels along the Buffalo Bayou to Lindhust Park and back.
• The 45-mile Training Ride, designed for riders preparing for the MS 150 in late April, follows the 20-mile route, then continues along Buffalo Bayou to South Gessner Drive and loops around to the Willow Waterhole Greenway and back. 

Registration Information:

• Early Bird Pricing: $50 (13 and older)
• Regular Registration: $60 (13 and older)
• Late Registration: $70 (13 and older)
• Ride Day Registration: $75 (13 and older)
• Kids 12 and Under: $30 through Ride Day

NOTE: Online registration closes at 8:30 a.m. on April 4, 2027. All registrations must be completed via the online registration site. Paper registration forms will not be available on Ride Day.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Commemorative event t-shirt included with all completed registrations
• Rest stops with music and refreshments
• Medical support, Ride Marshals, and Peace Officers along the route for your safety
• Post-ride celebration at Discovery Green with food/drink, music, and a cycling expo
