Club Spinistry Pop Up Ride 3/10

FREE for Club Spinistry members. Signup fee can be applied towards a full membership for those who aren't yet members. Reminder, this is the first day to start accumulating mileage for the Gravel 1000 Challenge. This is an excellent way to log some kickoff miles!

These routes are different from our last Valley View ride and the Texas Chainring Massacre. That's the beauty of staging from Valley View...lots of options.

We're staging from Valley View again! Everything else around the MetroMess is going to be too wet. The Valley View area didn't get nearly as much rain so we expect the roads on this route to be perfectly fine with no deep water crossings or mud. It is forecast to be cool in the morning so between that and Daylight Saving Time we starting later in the morning. Current forecast is for calm breezes comfortable temps late morning and afternoon.

Important stuff:

Please note that there are no facilities at the staging area except parking. Take care of restrooms and snacks before you get there.

Daylight Saving Time starts day of the ride. Don't oversleep.

There are convenience stores along all routes but this is considered self supported and self navigated. There are no SAG vehicles or course markings.

Turn off auto reroute in your navigation device. Review the routes ahead of time to have a sense of what to expect and to know where parking is.

Do not litter. Be respectful to everyone you come across throughout the day.

There is no set pace. Different groups/people will ride different paces. If your goal is to ride with a group we suggest you start out with the group at a bit faster pace than you normally would and then fall back to the right group for your pace down the road. You still need to be prepared to ride by yourself if your pace doesn't line up with others.
