The Olympic Discovery Trail

The Tour de Lavender is the main annual fundraising event for Peninsula Trails Coalition and their role in the construction and maintenance of the Olympic Discovery Trail , providing a website for public information, as well as advocacy for the trail.

Founded in 1988, the non-profit Peninsula Trails Coalition (PTC), as the leading advocate for the Olympic Discovery Trail, subscribes to the following:

PTC Mission Statement

To construct, maintain, and advocate for the Olympic Discovery Trail as a nationally significant, non-motorized, multi-use recreational and transportation trail across the North Olympic Peninsula.

PTC Vision Statement

To sustain the Olympic Discovery Trail as a world class, multi-use pathway connecting communities across the North Olympic Peninsula, providing recreation and active transportation access for a diverse spectrum of users, and serving as a catalyst for regional economic development.

The Peninsula Trails Coalition provides funding toward these goals, and maintains and extensive volunteer contingent, all working to maintain this beautiful trail.
