Stigma Free Pledge

Thank you everyone for taking time to support the annual Kohler #IWILLLISTEN Mental Health Awareness Walk/Run.

Many of you may have asked yourself, what is #IWILLLISTEN? #IWILLLISTEN is a campaign supported by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). It allows us each to make a promise to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and to listen with open and honest hearts and minds.

Fighting stigma starts with all of us. That is why we are committing to further cultivate a company culture of caring and openness around mental health.

Today, we invite you to join in helping do our part to promote mental health awareness and support within Kohler Co.

As associates of a sigma-free company, let’s commit to:

  • As a NAMI “StigmaFree Company”, Kohler Co. declares itself a “stigma-free workplace” and pledges to continuously fight the stigma against mental illness in its workplace by:

    ·          Acknowledging that mental health is analogous to physical health and is part of an associate’s overall well-being.

    ·          Incorporating company-wide trainings and resources on mental health and mental illnesses consistently throughout the year and across all of Kohler’s corporate functions and business groups.

    ·          Advocating that all leadership, management, and human resource associates have conversations on mental health with their respective associates with the hopes of forging a trusting environment within Kohler.  

    ·          Promoting open and public communications on mental health amongst all Kohler associates.

    Providing a place of support and inclusion, without judgment, for all, including those Kohler associates, family, and friends affected by mental 

  • Please make the personal mental health pledge and promise to continue to listen and in times of adversity, you can be an advocate for a better world, free of mental health stigma.
