2024 SING! PLAY! SHOUT! RUN! 5K for Elizabeth Seton High School Music!

SING! PLAY! SHOUT! RUN! FOR ELIZABETH SETON! 

We are excited to announce our Fourth Annual virtual Music Booster 5K!

Our award winning musical arts program, expertly led by Dr. Brad Tatum and Mr. Samuel Cromwell, beautifully represent our Elizabeth Seton Community throughout the region.  But they need our help to continue to foster excellence in performing arts and to teach lessons our girls will carry with them forever. 

Support the music and choral programs at Elizabeth Seton High School by supporting and participating in our fun run/walk. Simply register for $15 per person, complete your 5K between October 18th and October 20th, 2024 and submit your time and information! You will compete for gift certificates and all finishers will be highlighted on our social media channels. 

Music education is a critically important part of a well-rounded education.  Our virtual race will help ensure the students of Elizabeth Seton High School can continue to benefit from this award-winning program.  The proceeds will help pay for music lesson reimbursements, competition entrance fees, music, instrument repairs, concert programming, and more. 

REGISTRATION:

The cost of registration is $15 per participant - However, donations of larger amounts are always appreciated. 

PRIZES:

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

• The individual who completes the most miles over the three days will receive a gift certificate.
• Team captains have a chance to win a prize for the following categories:
  • 1) the team that cumulatively runs or walks the furthest; and
  • 2) the team that collectively raises the most funds through donations. 

HOW IT WORKS:  

• Each race/walker will have 3 days to run/walk and accumulate miles toward your team. The virtual race will start at 12:01 AM on Friday, October 18th, and ends on Sunday, October 20th at 11:59 PM.  
• Our Seton Musicians will create Teams or Groups.  Each Registration is $15.00
• Each team member records their mileage on the team site to track the total miles walked/run. Each music department student is a virtual team. You can find their team in the "join a team section" under the student's name. YOU MUST CREATE A REGISTRATION.
• The cost of individual registrations is $15. You can also support more than one participant. 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):

What's a Virtual Run/Walk? It's just like a normal walk/run race, but you get to do it on YOUR terms, when you want, where you want and at your own pace. You can even do it on a treadmill while you watch your favorite show!  Typically our race would be held outdoor, but we're using this race style to encourage everyone to keep exercising and being part of the community from their own homes. 

I'm planning to do my 5K but I would love company...  Come to the College park run on Saturday October 19, 2024 before 9:00 https://www.parkrun.us/collegepark/.   (Separate free registration required).  There will be a Seton Music group to run or walk your 5K with, along with some special treats for Groups bigger than 4! 

What If I Don't Want to Walk/Run?  We understand that not everyone will or can participate but would appreciate any donation to help support the music program.  You donation will help support individual music lessons, purchase new music equipment, and other program needs.

How do I log my time?

• To log through your profile: Navigate to your RunSignup profile by selecting the Profile Icon at the top right-hand corner Under your Upcoming Events > Select Submit Virtual Results  Enter in your distance, and time Select Submit Time

• To log through the website: Log into RunSignUP first. If you are not logged in, you will not be able to post results. If you were already logged in and having trouble, try logging out of RunSignUP and then logging back in again. If you forgot your password, you can have it reset: https://runsignup.com/Login.
  Go to "Participant Tracking" on the main page, search for your name and click "More Details."
  This will bring you to your information. You can then click on "Submit Virtual Results."
  You MUST enter the Date and Distance and Time for your run.
