How are Donations Used?/¿Como se utilizan las donaciones?
Your gift is used to help save lives.
· Since the Challenge began in 2018, funds from the Challenge helped support more than 10,000 suicide-prevention trainings in our communities.
· In 2023, we were able to offer no-cost suicide prevention training to 15 non-profit organizations.
· In 2023, funds help make it possible to train more instructors in one of the following modalities: Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Mental Health First Aid, and Crisis Prevention.
· To directly help MHP clients, the clinical teams expanded their Zero Suicide implementation to include early intervention and timely risk reduction measures to prevent crises before they happen.
· In May 2023, funds helped bring Brandon J. Johnson, Suicide Prevention Branch Chief for Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services, to the community as the featured speaker for the annual MHP Community Breakfast event.
· In May 2024, funds will bring Kate Fagan to Boulder, known for her book “What Made Maddy Run,” and other successes. Kate Fagan will share insights about suicide and student-athletes.
