Description

Now, more than ever, doing activities that can boost your mental health is important. That's why Still I Run is inviting you to participate in our month-long runstreak challenge this May. During the challenge, you're asked to walk or run (or bike, hike, rollerblade!) at least one mile every day for mental health during mental health awareness month. This is the perfect way to get out there for your own mental health, while also smashing the stigma, earning sweet swag, and connecting with other warriors around the country.

Joining the May 2024 Runstreak Challenge is super easy. All you have to do is pick your level of participation (each comes with sweet swag), register, join the Still I Run Private Facebook group, and then run or walk a mile every day. Once you’re done with your mile for the day, post about it to the FB group or to your own social media account using #SIRunStreak24. After the challenge, you'll have completed 31 days of run streaking (and who knows, you may even want to keep streaking after that!)

You'll notice there are three different levels to sign up for. The challenge is the same, but each level comes with different swag!

Still I Run is a community of runners and mental health warriors. Our mission is to promote the benefits of running for mental health, and, through our collective stories, defeat the stigma around mental illness. Through various programs we offer, we hope to educate others about running for mental health, raise mental health awareness, provide encouragement to others, and help people experiencing hardship get started in their running journey.

FAQs

When does the Run Streak start?
The run streak starts May 1 and lasts through May 31.

How does the Run Streak work exactly?
The Run Streak operates like a virtual run. You run or walk your mile, every day at your convenience. When you’re done, you can post about it on our private Facebook page, the SIR Strava club, or your own social media account. Just be sure to include #SIRunStreak24 so we can cheer you on!

How do I track my miles?
You can track your miles using this calendar or marking it in your own personal journal or calendar. Tracking miles is for your purposes only. Don’t worry, we’re not going to make you report them at the end of the month. We will say however, that keeping visual track of your miles throughout the month is a great motivator and we highly recommend it!

Can I walk some days and run on others?
YES! As long as you get in at least one mile every day, that’s all that counts! This isn’t about running. It’s about being intentional about dedicating a mile of movement for mental health purposes!

What if I skip a day?
We understand that life has its unexpected twists and turns. If you have to skip a day to care for yourself or others, that’s totally ok because tomorrow is another day! We just encourage you to do your best.

When will I get my swag?
We will begin shipping swag in mid-April.

What if there is a problem with my swag?
Email support@stillirun.org

Where does the majority of my registration money go to?
After purchasing swag and mailing everything out, all leftover funds goes to Still I Run’s work in promoting the benefits of running for mental health, defeating the stigma around mental illness, and helping people overcome any barriers they may have when it comes to running for their own mental health.

I’d like to sponsor the Run Streak. How can I do that?
