Gleaners Community Food Bank is excited to announce the 2nd annual Hunger Free Summer 5K Run and Walk! With the support of our incredible community, Gleaners continues to work toward our mission of creating a food-secure Southeast Michigan.
Please join us as we come together to race toward a food-secure community on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Freedom River in Brighton, Michigan.
Thanks to a match from Citizens and other generous donors, proceeds from run registrations and donations to this event will have twice the impact to support Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. We are dedicated to providing households with access to sufficient, nutritious food and related resources. Serving five counties—Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe—Gleaners collaborates with nearly 350 partner agencies, including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and schools, to distribute millions of pounds of food annually.
