The Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival is a two day mountain bike event in Houghton/Hancock. Day 1 is a challenging XC race using the Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids trail networks in Hancock, MI. One of the original point-to-point races in the UP, the Chain Drive is back after a 5 year break! Day 2 is new to the Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival and it is an Enduro on the Michigan Tech trails in Houghton, MI. There are events throughout the weekend for the whole family including team events for Dads and/or Moms with their kids.
The proceeds from the two days of biking will be used for bridge and trail repairs in the Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids trails that are needed after last year's Father's Day weekend flood.
Full course map will be posted on June 9, 2019.
