Six Mile Cyclocross (cancelled)

CANCELLED: Regretfully, the 6Mile CX race is canceled for this year. Because of the extreme drought conditions and fire danger (which persist even with our currently improved air quality), the landowner who generously offered his property for this event has not been able to mow the course, and he will not have time to do so between now and our scheduled race date. This also means there is not time to get the course ridden into a point where it’s race ready and otherwise work out the kinks enough to put on a quality event. We're grateful that rain is in the forecast, but it's not coming early enough to get the course ready. Looking forward to making this happen next year. 

Cyclocross Race in Huson, MT. 

Course is a ~1.3-mile loop on a private landowner’s property. Course will have substantial elevation change (for a CX race) and will include a mix of grass, dirt, pavement, and run-ups.

Pre-registration ($5 discount) is encouraged and closes at 10 pm on Friday, Sept. 22. Race-day opens at 9:00 am, and closes 15 min prior to posted start times.

Directions: Off I-90, take exit 85 (Huson). Head north toward Frenchtown Frontage Rd, and turn left onto Frenchtown Frontage Rd. After 1.3 miles (paralleling I-90), continue onto 6 Mile Rd (the road will turn to the north, away from the highway here), After ~1.1 miles on 6 Mile Rd, you’ll arrive at the race, which is on the east side of 6 Mile Rd at its intersection with Nook Ln. In Google Maps, typing in “Nook Ln, Huson, MT 59846” will get you there.

Timing by Competitive Timing

Race will be held rain or shine, although in the event of unhealthy air quality conditions resulting from wildfire smoke, races may be shortened or canceled.

Only the above listed races are permitted and sanctioned by USA Cycling. No other races or activities at the event are sanctioned by USA Cycling.

Kids race will be held after conclusion of above races, if sufficient interest.
