Registration & Format

  1. Form a two-racer team from the following categories:
     - Mens Team
     - Womens Team
     - Co-ed Team
     - Junior/Senior Team (any pairing of a junior and adult racer)
     - Junior Mens Team (Under 18)
     - Junior Womens Team (Under 18)

  2. Register, pay entry fee, and either create a new team or join an existing team. Registration closes at 3 PM on race day; on-site registration will not be available.

  3. Teammates can register separately and select an existing team from the drop down menu. Alternatively, one team member could register both racers at the same time.

The race begins with a Le Mans start in the base area. "Business riders" run to their bikes and ascend the course. They may encounter some limited descending and technical challenges, but let there be no mistake -- this stage is for the legs and the lungs. Then, the "Party rider" completes the descending segment, their choice of either Hello Kitty (blue) or Bjorn Again (black).

SAFETY WARNING: Bjorn Again is a black diamond rated downhill trail.  Please use extreme caution.  Highly advised that riders younger than 12 race Hello Kitty, not Bjorn Again.  Beginning to intermediate descenders will not be allowed on Bjorn Again.  Descenders must choose their trail at racer check-in.

After Party

Food Trucks: Smiles for Myles & Roots and Bitters
Cash Bar: Big Sky Brewing beer and hard seltzer, Western Cider, N/A bevs
Live DJ
Awards: race category winners, racer w/ best style

Additional info

Little's Mullet: 5:00 pm at the Base Area, register day of event. Free for all kids still growing out their mullet, low on pressure high on fun. This event will take place within the park base-area lawn.

Race results: Results are based on a team's combined racing times. There is no "hand-off" or other timed exchange between teammates.

Race starts: Race categories will be split between 5:20 and 6:15 start times to accommodate a wide-range of racer levels and to allow a clear downhill run. All Hello Kitty downhillers will start during the 5:20 wave series. Downhillers should begin climbing at least 40 minutes prior to their wave's start time.

  • Uphill racer mass start for all Junior participant teams from base-area
  • Downhill racer starts begin at top of the mountain for all Junior participant teams and all descenders riding Hello Kitty, regardless of age/category -- we want to avoid potential collisions on the race course!
