Mercy Health ALS Program Overview
Originally established through a collaboration with Michigan State University and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, Mercy Health Hauenstein Neurosciences is home to the only nationally certified ALS program in West Michigan. The multidisciplinary team is comprised of physicians, nurses, social workers, physiatrists, pulmonologists, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, dietitians, respiratory therapists, adaptive technology therapists, and wheelchair and mobility specialists. This integrated approach also includes participation in research trials.
