Lung Buster Time Trial

The Lung Buster Time Trial Series is a five-part competitive time trial racing series of cycling events in Western North Carolina held with the intent of providing all participants a professional racer experience, no matter how fast you are.
The 2016 series includes 4 flat & fast out-and-back courses, three 20k or 40k routes along Riverside Drive between Marshall and Asheville and one 20k on Etowah River Road. The final two time trials are one-way, very challenging, hill climbs — one up the punishing Elk Mountain outside of Asheville, the other hill climb is NEW a ***Gravel Grinder Time Trial in Black Mountain. **New to 2016 is the addition of Team Time Trials for the Asheville/Riverside flat routes (TT1, 2 + 4). Teams can consist of 2-4 participants. You may participate in individual and Team TT in the same day.** *** Our Newest Time Trial, Climb the Quarry will take place on September 17th and is a BONUS time trial. This event will be out at the Grove Stone Quarry and will consist of a 5 mile hill climb that is sure to test your lung capacity while offering rewarding views from the finish line. Top male and female finishers for the Elk Mountain and Climb the Quarry will receive a special Lung Buster Series Hincapie polka dot jersey for King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain To be eligible in the Lung Buster Time Trial Series Awards and Prizes you must participate in 4 out of the 6 time trials.
