**Attention: Cape Fear Fest Kayak Race has been cancelled!
We regret to inform you that the Kayak & Duck Race, scheduled for May 3, 2025, at the Cape Fear River, has been cancelled due to safety concerns of the river currents with potential rainfall impacting the area around the Cape Fear River. This decision was made after careful consideration of factors affecting the event’s success and the well-being of all participants.
We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding this annual tradition, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Chamber remains committed to organizing engaging and safe community events, and we hope to bring the race back in the future under improved circumstances.

Join the Lillington Area Chamber of Commerce and Cape Fear River Adventure as we host a Kayak Race on the Cape Fear River!
Bring your friends, family, or just yourself for an afternoon at the Cape Fear River. Fun for all ages! Food at Lost Paddle Pizza and live music! Bring your lawn chairs and beach blankets 😊
All participants will receive a waterproof dry bag.

* Race kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided with registration.
* No personal vessels allowed
Registration Fees/Dates/Categories:
--Recreational Male Paddler (age 18 to 59) - $40.00 (free T-shirt with Registration if you register before April 21st).
--Recreational Female Paddler (age 18 to 59) -$40.00 (free T-shirt with Registration if you register before April 21st).
--Senior Division Race (age 60+)- $35.00 (free T-shirt with Registration if you register before April 21st)
--Youth Division Race (Age 12yrs- 17yrs old) - $20.00
--Kids Division Race (Age 6yrs- 11yrs old) - $20.00
