Description
Come and join us for a 5K race or a 50K timed bike ride and a concert kicking off the Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department's annual event, Run Ride, Rhythm. The ride is being held to honor the memory of TR Rathbun and his commitment to cycling on the Brawley Peninsula. TR started the first organized cycling group in our area. This fundraising event, hosted by LKNVFD, is being held to benefit the Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department. Register for the 5K run or 50K ride by 9/1 in order to receive a T-Shirt.
Race day registration begins at 6:30. Credit cards are accepted.
The Run
This 5K will feature a super fast course run down Brawley Road in Mooresville, NC. The race will begin at the Trump National Golf Club, head to the Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department, and return to Trump National Golf Club.
The Ride
The bike ride will begin at Trump National and finish at the very popular cyclist hang out, the Lake Norman Tavern. Post race, we will all remember and celebrate our dear friend T.R. Rathbun. Everyone is encouraged to attend and is welcome!
The Rhythm
In addition to the Run and Ride, there is the Rhythm which is a concert being held at Queen's Landing. The concert will feature The Tams, Jim Quick and the Coastline, The Entertainers, and Chairmen of the Board. The concert will be a fun music filled evening for the entire family. This is your chance to show your support for our community first responders through your participation in one of these fun filled events.
