ALL WHEELS DEPART AT 1PM. This is 50 mile motorcycle ride and either a 60 mile or 20 mile bicycle ride that will begin and finish at The Farmstead
in Mount Pleasant (8063 Mauney Rd, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124-9090, United States) all to raise awareness and funds for DIPG Clinical Trials. This is a benefit ride and all proceeds are donated to the Warrior Jace Foundation to help fund clinical trials to find a cure for DIPG. Who is Affected by DIPG? Warrior Jace Thompson had DIPG, diagnosed at age 4 and he fought bravely with all thumbs up for 347 days.
DIPG primarily affects children, with most diagnoses occurring between 5 and 7 years of age. It makes up 10-15% of all brain tumors in children, with about 150-300 new diagnoses per year in the United States. Unfortunately, fewer than 10% of children survive two years from diagnosis.
There will be Warrior Jace merchandise for sale and a raffle for a Dirt Bike. Please come early to take part in these activities prior to your departure on your two wheels. All two wheels will leave at 1pm. There is a convenient store at the half way mark on the 60 mile bicycle route. There are not any rest stops, so please plan accordingly. There will be recovery snacks before and after the race. https://www.strava.com/routes/21361379 This is link from 2019 but it is the same route.
Here is the link for the 20 mile route: https://www.strava.com/routes/21218576
