Description
The 30th Annual The River To Sea Bike Ride will take place May 4, 2019. This event is a 20 mile bike ride along the historic route of the Wilmington Sea Coast Railroad. All age groups and experienced levels of cyclists participate in this ride but must be able to ride 20 miles at a casual pace. Helmets are required and cyclists should give their bicycle a thorough safety inspection before the event. There is no cost to participate but t-shirts are available for purchase. Cyclists will depart at 7:00 am (check in from 6:15-6:50 am) from downtown at Front Street and Market Street and arrive at Wrightsville Beach Park close to 8:15. There is a 15-20 minute break at Wrightsville Beach Park before beginning the second half of the ride back downtown. At the park, raffles are drawn, participants can use the restroom and grab snacks. The ride will take about 3 hours in total. EACH PARTICIPANT MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY. Do not register in pairs or groups. Participants can register the morning of the event but are encouraged to register prior. T-shirts will only be available for sale online until April 5th. Registration will re-open April 8th without the option to purchase a t-shirt and close May 3, the day before the event.
